Signs That Demonoid Is Coming Back Online

Demonoid, the BitTorrent site you just can't keep down, may be on its way back, again. It was shut down during summer and it looked like the end as much of the team was, allegedly, arrested. The tracker actually came back, for a while last year, but it went down again.

There were no signs of life from the site though, until very recently. There's now a new Demonoid.hk domain registered which, while not directing users to any site, is at least working in some fashion.

The old Demonoid.me domain is working as well, in that it's redirecting to the new Hong Kong one. A somewhat working domain is a long way from a relaunched site, so Demonoid fans shouldn't be getting too excited, but at least there's some hope.

Despite the possible copyright laws that some may argue to protest against the site, I believe that this kind of site actually creates a flurry of positive productivity for other people who might not otherwise get the chance to do so because of limited economic means. For example, a person who is located remotely somewhere in the world and who is clearly economically challenged may be able to view and use some of the things that are put on Demonoid to themselves get better. You could just throw money at this person but then you make them dependent upon the state for a handout. A person who can use this information to help themselves become a productive member of society should not be hampered from this process by government shutting down sites like Demonoid. Sure there will always be the offensive types who are always make a name for themselves in the news but the positive efforts of the silent majority are who really get hurt here. So lets bring Demonoid back so we can all enjoy the positive productivity that it helps encourage. Anyone else agree?

Government is good at indoctrination-the proof is when you witness thousands of people rooting to END peer to peer sharing without having a clue. I bet, that most of the people that support its END are white collar and never had to worry about money... never had to make the hard choice between 300.00 dollar software so you dont get dropped from a college course or food on your table for a month...

They dont realize they are siding with the 'tax man' and condemning 'Robin Hood'..
