14 DAY TRIAL // An online petition now asks that concerned citizens show their support for America's wild horses and help keep them safe from threats such as the expansion of agricultural lands and cattle farms.
The people behind this petition argue that, as of recently, the US government decided that the best way to expand agricultural and ranching areas was to chase these animals out of their natural habitats and control their population.
Those who keep these animals very close at heart explain that, while being rounded up with the help of helicopters and equestrians, the animals suffer both physical and psychological damage.
“The government is supposed to be protecting wild horses, but instead they use helicopters to round them up and send them to holding facilities,” reads this appeal to American citizens.
Apparently, once these facilities become too crowded, the animals are killed, so as to accommodate for the newcomers.
