Sienna Miller, once hailed as the next screen siren that would make history in Hollywood, is now plagued by reports that her career might be heading to the gutter following the media backlash prompted by her behavior and scandalous personal life. After being snubbed for the Robin Hood remake starring Russell Crowe, rumors now have it that her latest film, “Hippie Hippie Shake” is also in trouble, being described as “unreleasable” in its present form.

This comes on the heels of a very long list of professional snubs, which also includes her involvement in “Nottingham,” the aforementioned remake, and her part in “G.I Joe,” which is said to have been cut to only a few scenes. The Sunday Telegraph is now reporting that producers of “Hippie Hippie Shake” are extremely unhappy about Sienna’s work on set, with the final product being so horrible that it’s practically impossible to release it.

“Now, there is growing speculation about the fate of ‘Hippie Hippie Shake,’ a comedy drama about the Sixties counterculture magazine Oz in which Sienna stars. A spokesman for the film, for which no release date has been scheduled, is keen to play down claims that a prominent member of the production team has described it as ‘unreleasable in its present state.’” The Sunday Telegraph is reporting.

As expected, the spokesperson is insisting that the film is not as bad as initial reports have made it look, and that the producers are actually happy with how it came out. “Someone may have said that, but it is not one of the producers. The film is testing really well.” the spokesperson says for the aforementioned publication. Nevertheless, this can’t but make fans and critics alike (but especially the latter) wonder whether Sienna’s career is heading towards its end.

In early January, Sienna, attached to the “Nottingham” project, was officially dumped as the leading lady on account of her being too thin and making main actor Russell Crowe look too old and fat. “It is a mess. Russell never lost the weight he put on […] and so the love scenes between him and Sienna would have been laughable. He’s so old and fat and she’s so young and gorgeous.” one source told the New York Post at the time, regarding the £110 million remake. Cate Blanchett came to replace Sienna for the part.
