Sienna Miller Drinks Till She Drops

I'm waring you: this ain't pretty. Literally. Sienna Miller just launched her fashion boutique called "Twenty8Twelve" and boy, did she have some serious fun at the launch party. I mean, it's a good thing not to show any nerves and act naturally, but it looks that for Sienna, fun equals getting dead drunk and making a fool of herself in front of the guests. Sienna and her sister and partner Savannah are apparently trying to make people take them seriously as fashion designers but ended up taken seriously as irresponsible drunks. One of the guests remarked half-ironically that "The girls invited family and friends to join them in toasting their new venture - and boy, did they toast. It went on until the early hours, when they stumbled out of the after party at the Lonsdale bar nearby. They were more than a little worse for wear".

Joining them in the hard partying was the notoriously fond of alcohol Rhys Ifans (in case you don't have a clue who he is, he's the disheveled guy who played Hugh Grant's room mate in Notting Hill), with whom she's been hanging around a lot over the past weeks. Ifans also accompanied Miller to Ibiza and the media was quick to speculate a romance between the two, which they have both repeatedly denied. Apparently, Ifand has crashed on Miller's couch ever since his boathouse was flooded. Nice pretext, I think, and among the most original ones I've heard in a long time. Many of Sienna's friends however report that they are extremely concerned about her strange behavior lately and are blaming Ifans for Miller's descent into drinking and hard partying.

Another possible reason for this is the fact that apparently, Miller feels she is in some sort of competition with Keira Knightley, whose career is going extremely well and who is being offered very good roles in very good movies, like for example the one in "Atonement", the latest Venice Film Festival sensation. Miller and Knightley have been working together on the set of the movie "The Edge of Love" and apparently this is where it all started for Sienna.

"The reason she has been going off the rails and overindulging in the celebrity lifestyle is because she feels she is in Keira's shadow" says a friend of Sienna's. "They are good friends but she feels Keira's star is rising while she is not getting the same glory and not being offered the same high-profile parts. She has been going out on the town a lot as a result but it is beginning to take its toll, particularly as she feels she has to keep up with Rhys, who is a notorious party animal" the friend concluded. Well, truth be told, I believe Miller's finally done it - showing herself in a very unflattering light and not doing any kind of favors for her public image. We can only hope she gets a grip on herself and moves on as quickly as possible.
