Sienna Guillory to Guard the Dragon's Eggs in ERAGON

The 30-year old British model and actress Sienna Guillory (Helen of Troy, Love Actually) will have the female leading role in 20th Century Fox's ERAGON, based on the Christopher Paolini-penned bestselling fantasy novel.

The movie tells the story of a farm boy, Eragon who discovers he is the last of a breed of benevolent Dragon Riders, whose magical powers are derived from their bond with the beasts, and he becomes agreat dragon rider, who has to kill an evil king to save his empire.

Ed Speleers stars as the title character, while Robert Carlyle, Djimon Hounsou, Jeremy Irons and John Malkovich fill out the ensemble cast of the movie directed by former Industrial Light & Magic visual effects expert Stefen Fangmeier, according to Comingsoon.net.

The "Resident Evil: Apocalypse" star, the daughter of Cuban-born guitarist Isaac Guillory, has been chosen to play Arya, a skilled fighter and powerful leader of a combative tribe, who served as the guardian of the dragon's egg until her capture by imperial forces.

The movie, for which adaptation has just started lensing in Hungary, is due for a 2006 summer release.
