Siemens scaled up its efforts to spread eco-friendly wind power in some of the most important regions of the Globe, giving the entire industry of renewable energy a significant boost. The company has won six new wind projects, which imply the presence of 293 wind turbines, located in The United States, Puerto Rico and Canada.

Four projects will be developed in the US, one in the Caribbean and another one in Canada.

The enterprise will be able to obtain, through this earth-friendly project, a total capacity of 673 megawatts (Mws), which would be enough to provide alternative power to 200,000 average households.

The company wants to satisfy the great demand for clean energy on the American market. Wind power has become an essential resource nowadays, and Siemens is keen on exploiting its potential while increasing its own profit margins.

So far, the value of the orders Siemens has received reaches approximately $900 million, clearly defining the company's supremacy on the market.

"As we look to further regionalization efforts within our wind power business, we’ve continued to locate new and expand existing manufacturing, assembly and service facilities to provide superior products and support to our wind power customers in the Americas. These orders are evidence of the continued investment and growth in the wind industry and an increasing demand for clean energy in the region," affirmed Mark Albenze, CEO of the Americas Business Unit of Siemens Energy’s Wind Power Division.

Talking about Siemens influence upon the national economy, its role is quite significant. When it first entered the market of wind resources, in 2005, Siemens counted on the support of just one employee.

At this point in time, the company succeeded in creating 1,800 jobs all across America, while only exploiting the benefits of renewable alternatives for traditional power.

The company doesn't plan to limit its influence and activity to these on-shore major wind power plants as officials say that they will still struggle to invest in new such projects in order to provide superior products to the numerous American clients whose businesses or household rely on green energy usage.

So far, the company has succeeded in becoming one of the most well-known players on the market. Next target appears to be South America, where Siemens plans to expand its influence.
