Siduction 2011.1 is a new Linux distribution announced today which ships with three desktop environments, KDE SC, XFCE and LXDE, for both 32-bit and 64-bit architectures.

Siduction 2011.1 RC is based on Debian Sid from 2011-12-21, over which there have been added a lot of other packages and scripts. All Siduction editions has Linux kernel 3.1-5 and X.Org Server 1.11.2.902-1.

The developers have been kind to include repositories for KDE SC 4.7.2 and QT-KDE. Apparently, the safest way is to stay with the installed KDE SC 4.7.2 until Sid catches up and updates KDE SC to version 4.7.4, which should happed in the next few weeks.

Download Siduction 2011.1 RC right now from Softpedia. Remember that this is a development release and it should NOT be installed on production machines. It is intended to be used for testing purposes only.
