Rumors on the awaited release of the Sidekick 4 have been going by for some time now. The latest one concerns a potential release of the device on the 16th of October, during a special event, although there is no official announcement on this possibility so far.

It all started from the information that DJ AM is hosting a "Private" event in the middle of this month, at T-Mobile. This news has been posted on his MySpace profile and has great value, as this artist performed at the releases of the previous two Sidekick handsets. Moreover, T-Mobile supports these older versions, which gives good reason for them to wish to continue the success by carrying the latest release too.

It's a trio that was present at previous Sidekick launches and seems to reunite again for what other possible reason than unveiling the latest such device. This type of mobile phones has proven to be a huge success until now. They are capable of handling rich media content and bring tons of entertainment solutions in a fresh and comfortable to use design. All these features have managed to drive a craze especially among young people in the US that could now take their personal type of fun everywhere.

The IFA 2007 also showcased the Sharp PV150 mobile phone that looks just like the previous Sidekick handsets. Most importantly, it bears the T-Mobile logo, which makes it clear that the device will soon be enclosed in this operator's phone offer line. Sharp has yet to officially announce this device, which leaves room for speculations until it happens.

Other possibilities concern the Sidekick Slide and Sidekick LX models that have surfaced in leaked images until now too. As facts suggest, a T-Mobile release of this type of mobile phones is imminent on the 16th of October, at DJ AM's T-Mobile performance. The only remaining question is which one it will be.
