Shuttle unveiled specifications of its new XPC X200 small-factor system, according to DailyTech. X200 is based on the same chassis that made
X100 a best-seller, but integrates different interior specifications. Shuttle aims this new system towards those multimedia enthusiasts in search for a small and quiet system.

X200 integrates Intel-based products. It features 945GM motherboards with integrated graphics. While X100 features an MXM slot which supports ATI Mobility Radeon X1400 graphics card, X200 features a less powerful Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950. Anyhow, X200 will support dual display via a video dongle which provides one DVI and one VGA slot.

Shuttle offers a choice for Celeron M, Core Duo or Core 2 Duo to power the X200 systems. The featured motherboards can sustain up to 2 GB of DDR2-667 memory. Other interesting features are the high definition audio codec provided by Realtek ALC882, Gigabit Ethernet NIC, SD/MMC/MS/MS-Pro card reader and, surprisingly, it's compatible with 3.5" HDDs.

As a multimedia system, X200 has an optional internal NTSC TV tuner. The TV tuner will be integrated in order to take full advantage of Windows XP Media Center Edition digital video recording features. The system will also come equipped with an XPC Media Center Remote for optimal laid back use. X200 is designed to be easily connected to a range of common peripherals and, like the X100, includes multiple USB ports, FireWire connection and a headphones jack.

X200 is expected to launch in late November, 2006 and it has a $499 price tag.
