Shuttle Inc., a leading designer and manufacturer of small form factor computer systems, has just announced the introduction of its new Shuttle X Vision line of products. With the launch, the company also introduced a new all-in-one computer system, dubbed X50, which incorporates the Intel Atom processor in a 15.6-inch form factor PC. According to the manufacturer, the new X Vision line of products has been designed as a representation of a new core value for the company, insisting on quality and innovation.

“The PC industry is heralding a new age of simple and intuitive function with the launch of all-in-one PCs. Shuttle has taken a great leap forward in beauty and functionality with our new X50. It strikes the perfect balance between quality craftsmanship, performance, and price,” said David Yu, chairman of Shuttle Inc.

The new X50 all-in-one PC from Shuttle is only 1.4 inches thin, providing users with the computing performance of a dual-core Atom 330 processor in a sleek form factor PC. The 15.6-inch display, which is touch enabled, boasts a built-in 1.3MP webcam, enabling users to take pictures or place video-calls over the Internet. Aside from that, the X50 has also been fitted with a unique stand, which can be completely removed, letting the user take advantage of the VESA mounting feature.

On the inside, the X50 all-in-one is essentially an Atom-based nettop that combines a total of 1GB of system memory with a 160GB hard drive and the familiar GMA959 graphics solution. This solution enables the system to provide the basic in computing performance while requiring just 30 watts of power.

According to earlier details, the Shuttle X50 all-in-one PC will become available for about $499, but the company is yet to confirm that.
