Given the number of PC vendors out there, there's a high chance that the computer system you have been looking for is already available on the market. On that note, barebone PC maker Shuttle Computer has recently unveiled a new Mini PC system that enables customers to take advantage of a unique feature like optional DVB-S TV tuner.
This allows for satellite TV reception and other features such as Timeshifting, EPG and recording, all available on your own mini desktop PC. In addition, the Shuttle XPC X7 4500H offers the aforementioned satellite TV reception and other related features, integrated into the familiar Windows Vista operating system.
“Microsoft has moved the development of Windows Media Center forward and released the new Windows Media Center TV Pack for Windows Vista,” explains Tom Seiffert, head of Marketing and PR at Shuttle Computer Handels GmbH. “Based on the XPC Barebone SG45H7, a complete solution to meet highest requirements towards functionality, image quality and multimedia formats has been created.”
As far as technical specifications are concerned, the new XPC X7 4500H desktop rig comes with support for Intel's latest Core 2 Duo, Quad or Pentium Dual-Core processors. The system boasts an Intel G45-based motherboard and offers support for up to 4GB of memory and integrated Intel GMA X4500HD graphics solution. In addition, the system has been featured with a 3.5-inch hard drive that delivers a storage capacity of up to 1TB. As mentioned above, the XPC X7 4500H from Shuttle Computer also comes with an integrated DVB-S TV tuner, which transforms this Mini PC into a real Home Theater PC.
All that considered, the Shuttle XPC H7 4500H is said to already be available for shipping and will set you back about 755 Euros, without VAT.
