14 DAY TRIAL // Shuttle Inc., a worldwide market leader in the Mini-PC segment and a manufacturer of Multi-Form-Factor solutions, has recently unveiled a new HD-compatible AMD-based Mini-PC Complete System which features a fresh look, as well as a HDMI interface to allow high-definition playback for movies and sound. This addition to the company's portfolio can be considered a compact entertainment feature designed specifically for the playback of high-resolution Blu-ray media.
The Shuttle XPC H7 7800H complete Mini-PC system is an easy to use product which features high processing power and also offers space for expansion. The new system is Windows vista based and includes a Blu-ray Combo drive, card reader, hybrid TV tuner card and WLAN, plus a remote control. This Mini-PC has been built on the base of the Shuttle XPC Barebone SN78SH7, and measures 32.5 x 20.8 x 18.9 cm (DWH).
The features list of the system includes HDMI and VGA outputs, hardware decoding of Blu-ray and HD DVD video (H.264, VC1 and MPEG2) and 8-channel audio with DD/DTS support. Besides, it also has optical S/PDIF output and four analog audio connectors. The Shuttle XPC H7 7800H is based on the GeForce 8200 chipset, but users can configure it according to their needs before order. It features a PCI-Express X16 slot which allows for a more powerful graphics card to be installed.
The standard configuration would also sport an AMD Athlon X2 6000+ processor, 2x 1GB DDR2-800 memory, 500GB, Serial-ATAII hard disk drive. The Mini-PC includes a heatpipe cooling system meant to ensure quiet operations and maximum stability of the system. Moreover, it comes with an intuitively designed media center interface included in the operating system. Along with the enclosed remote control, the Shuttle Mini-PC can be accessed immediately directly from your sofa.
Shuttle announced that the XPC H7 7800H complete system is available immediately from specific retailers, but it could also be ordered via the Shuttle Systems Configurator on the company's website. The recommended retail price is 915€ ($1,182).
