Barebone PCs are mini personal computers that don't have CPUs, memory and storage devices already installed. Shuttle has just launched two of them.

Barebones are good for people who want to make an HTPC or mini gaming system, for LAN parties and such. They have all the essential hardware without dictating how much memory or storage you have to live with.

It's also nice that they're really cheap and let you add things as you go. Sure, there's not much space, but the idea stands.

Anyway, the two new Barebones from Shuttle are called XPC Barebone SH87R6 and XPC Barebone SZ87R6.

The former has Intel H87 chipset, Gigabit-Ethernet and 300W power supply unit, while the latter uses Intel Z87 chipset, Dual-Gigabit Ethernet, OC of K-CPUs, and a 500W PSU.

Sales will start at the end of November 2013, which should also be when prices come out.
