Shuttle has made the news for a variety of things already, and it looks ready to do so once more, having unveiled its latest, small form factor workstation, one based on Intel CPUs and equipped with NVIDIA or AMD graphics.

Coming to offer some sort of variety to an IT industry that has been seeing much of the tablet segment, Shuttle has developed a new small form factor computer.

Said computer is actually a workstation, one that is best suited for professionals that want as much prowess as possible in a so-called box measuring 190 (H) x 208 (W) x (323 (D) mm.

The product bears the name of H3 6700P and is powered by a second generation Intel Core series central processing unit, which can be a Core i3, Core i5 or Core i7, depending on how much money one is willing to spend on performance.

Whichever CPU happens to be selected is backed up by up to 16 GB of RAM (random access memory) and a professional video card.

Said video card can be an AMD FirePro series controller of an NVIDIA Quadro graphics adapter.

Meanwhile, storage space is provided by one or two hard disk drives, with the maximum capacity being of 4 TB. Needless to say, an optical disk drive is also present, specifically a Blu-ray writer or combo.

To all of the above, naturally, are added the full range of connectivity and I/O capabilities, which extends to more than just Gigabit Ethernet and 7.1 channel audio.

Shuttle made sure to throw in not just DVI and HDMI outputs, but also a pair of SuperSpeed USB 3.0 connectors.

Prospective buyers will be able to configure and, should they so choose, acquire the H3 6700P by visiting this page. The starting price is of $826 and a choice will have to be made between the Windows 7 Home Premium, Professional and Ultimate operating systems.
