One of the most funny and successful animated movies ever, and one of the few films whose sequels managed to top their first parts, returns again on the big screen and viewers have the opportunity of meeting the all-stars cast and characters again.

'Shrek the Third' will reunite the green ogre and his queen wife Fionna, with Donkey, Puss in Boots and many other new characters in a new adventure. This time, King Harold falls ill and Shrek seems to be forced to start preparing for a life in the castle, as king of the Far, Far Way kingdom, and to give up his beloved swamp.

In order to escape such unwanted distinction, he summons his old buddies, Donkey and Puss and begin the search for Fionna's cousin, the rebellious Artie, as rightful heir to the throne. Meanwhile, back home, Prince Charming and an army of followers try to take over the country and the throne, and Fionna and Queen Lillian are forced to fight back the attack.

The old voices that we got so used to, those of Mike Myers, Eddie Murphy, Cameron Diaz, Antonio Banderas, Rupert Everett, Julie Andrews and John Cheese, are still going to appear in the third part and some more will be added.

Among the most famous names that will star in 'Shrek the Third' are Justin Timberlake (who will play the role of Artie), Eric Idle (Merlin), John Krasinsky (Lancelot), Cheri Oteri (Sleeping Beauty), Amy Poehler (Snow White), Maya Rudolph (Rapunzel), Amy Sedaris (Cinderella) and Ian McShane (Captain Hook).

The movie has been scheduled for release on May 18, 2007.
