
The Me Inc. mobile division of The SCO Group, Inc. ("SCO"), recently announced the availability of the free trial version of Shout Postcard, a new mobile service that lets users quickly and easily share life's experiences on-the-go through photos, text and voice.
Designed initially for Palm Treo smart phones, Shout
Postcard features a colorful, easy-to-use interface that helps users quickly combine a photo, a recorded audio message up to a minute long, and text to create a personalized, multimedia postcard that can then
be sent to family, friends, co-workers and social networks. Shout Postcard includes many unique features that integrate with Palm Treo phones based on the Palm OS platform.
The free Community version of Shout Postcard can be used to send a greeting to up to five contacts at once. Contacts can be added on-the-fly or easily uploaded from the Palm
Treo address book. Users can include photos taken using the Palm Treo camera or any photo within their Palm Treo library of pictures that are stored on their phone or memory storage card. In addition to sending postcards for free, users also receive a free Shout Web album that is automatically created to allow them to share photos and participate in photo blogging on their own Shout website. Shouts can be added to a user's site directly from the phone or by logging in to their account

The free, Community version of Shout Postcard for use with five contacts at a time is now available for download
here. The Commercial version of Shout Postcard which will be priced at a few dollars per month and will be available in the coming weeks, allowing users to send Shout Postcards to groups or large numbers of recipients at once. It will also include the ability to create integrated video Shouts, and have enhanced photo blogging capabilities, multiple Shout websites, and the ability to receive Shout Postcards from a myriad of mobile phones. Once loaded onto a Palm Treo, the program can be beamed to other Palm Treo users.
