The new version of the popular software Shotwell can be downloaded from Softpedia

Yorba Foundation, the developers of Shotwell, have announced the immediate availability for download of Shotwell 0.17.0.

Shotwell is now developed in collaboration with the elementary OS team. It will become the default image viewer for the elementary Linux distro sometime in the near future, but the package is also part of the greater GNOME family.

According to the team, the parent folder names are now also included for the keyword search, the Tumblr publishing has been fixed, various bug fixes have been implemented, and a number of translations have been updated.

Remember that this is a development version and it should NOT be installed on production machines. It is intended for testing purposes only.
