The PS3 spills blood

We've had PS3 shootings, PS3 fake robberies, PS3 arrests, even parents wanting to give up their kids for a PS3, but we didn't have a PS3 related killing, until now.

A 18 year old kid, suspected of stealing a PS3 and some games, was wound up dead after an overzealous and trigger-happy deputy came face to face with him. The presupposed PS3 robber is, or should I say, was called Peyton Strickland, and lived in a rented house with three other friends.

According to his roommates, Strickland was unarmed when the deputy came to arrest him and serve him a search warrant. I have to mention that Strickland was one of the two suspected PS3 robbers, responsible for the November 17 University of North Carolina incident.

Mike Rothon, one of his friends and roommates, declared that he doesn't understand why shots were fired as neither of them was armed. He explains that even Strickland's German shepherd named Blaze was shot and killed.

First looking upon this issue, you might say that this is an obvious case of police abuse. You might be right, but we have to wait for the investigation to close, because the proper authorities are reviewing the conduct of all officers involved in the incident. New Hanover County District Attorney Ben David, who confirmed that a deputy was involved in the shooting, declared that he will make this his top priority. He continued by saying that no one is above the law and that if any criminal conduct will be established, he will press charges.

Any further details on how and why the shooting happened were not revealed, but be sure that we will keep you posted as soon as we have information. This news came via StarNewsOnline.com.
