Speed up your workflow with assignments of global shortcuts

There’s no shame in admitting you’re a workaholic (beats being a bum), but if you’re going to be one, at least be as productive as you can be. Use Shortcuts.

A cheap utility created by the people at Nulana Ltd., this small app allows you to make new global shortcuts for your Mac to launch applications, invoke scripts, gain quick access to your most-used files and system buttons, etc.

Once you start using it, you’ll never want to live without it. The interface is incredibly simple and easy on the eyes. Its two-pane window lets you select a service on the left, and then double click any option presented on the right to set up a new shortcut.

Shortcut overrides OS X’s default hotkeys if you tell it to, so you’re free to do whatever you want. A new update pushed out by Nulana also ensures that users no longer have problems during start-up, and it includes an option to turn off action notifier.

Download Shortcuts for Mac OS X and try it out for free in trial mode, or apply for a user license if you feel it’s a must have. Existing users can update for free.
