Fans of the “Transformers” franchise were nearly heartbroken when they heard beauty Megan Fox had chosen to go into a different direction and dropped out of the third installment of the film. Then, word got out that she’d been replaced by Victoria’s Secret model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and they felt somewhat better. Today, The Sun suggests that she may be going down that very dangerous slope of starving herself.

A film Rosie shot for DT Spain magazine for the January issue has just emerged and, in a couple of scenes, because of the poses she strikes, her ribcage is very visible, in a way that is anything but flattering. Because of this, The Sun concludes that she could stand to gain a few pounds more since she’s too thin – but chances are high that the tab doesn’t recall Rosie is first and foremost a model, even if she’s now putting it aside to focus on her acting career.

“This is the new star of Transformers as you won’t see her in the kids’ movie. Rosie Huntington-Whiteley strips off in a new short film on the internet. In one of my stills she’s a smoldering smoker and in the other there is a very unflattering ribcage display. Rosie, currently dating Jason Statham, is putting modeling on hold after getting her big Hollywood break,” The Sun writes.

The video in question – all shot in black and white in a very artful (albeit not suitable for work) manner – is also included, as also are screenshots from it. Under one of them is a caption that reads “Far too thin... Rosie in online film,” suggesting that the model is too thin to be healthy. Either this is another way of picking on someone for the sake of doing so, or the British publication is trying to send a message, namely that the same weight and size standards no longer apply for Rosie in the movie industry, therefore her ribcage shouldn’t be this visible because it sets the wrong example, it is being said.

Right now, the jury is still out on the matter. Many say that, indeed, as a model, Rosie is just the right weight but as a movie star she’s far too thin, thus agreeing with what The Sun also seems to be saying. At the opposite pole are those who defend her: she’s just the right weight and it’s clear that she’s toned from working out. As for the visible ribcage, it’s so unflattering because of the pose she’s striking they say. Here is the video in question, along with the screenshots. *Please be advised that discretion is recommended when viewing it.
