Can you believe it? Every crime is connected to games in one way or another, but not this one.

The last tragedy we've heard about (regarding killer games) was about some 19-year-old brat who ran over an old timer, supposedly because he'd played Gran Turismo prior to the accident. And even if the guy hadn't played the racing game before the crash, the court still would have connected it to playing a game, as it's their only resort when they run out of answers. Lots of awful things people do in this world and today we are going to share another one with you, which, believe or not, isn't game related and more than that, authorities even specified ruling out this possibility.

Wow! That's a first. Deseret News posted an article about this 18-year-old Sulejman Talovic who took on Salt Lake City Mall armed and dangerous, killing 5 or 6 people and injuring several others. Normally, the criminal was apprehended and an investigation followed. During that investigation, authorities also tried to find out whether the crime had any connection to playing violent video games or any video games for that matter.

Salt Lake City Police Chief, Chris Burbank said: "Although nothing will be completely ruled out in the search for a motive, some of the possibilities that have been rumored on Internet blog sites so far seem to have no merit. For instance, detectives as of Friday had found no evidence that violent video games may have influenced Talovic. In fact, Talovic did not even own a computer or a video-game system."

So there you have it, the man didn't even own any games. What are they going to blame this crime on? Has anyone thought of maybe just settling with the fact that he's a frikkin mental person and that's it? Nooo, it's always the games, they're so bad and we're total idiots that we don't even see what they're doing to us, right? Hey, what about checking the guy's pockets? Maybe they'll find a Game&Watch device on him, so The Times can make a killer game out of that one too.
