Shoot'em Poker has been launched by Best direction in order to combine all the aspects of being a true cowboy. The game helps the player develop skills both in playing poker and accurate shooting.

Shoot'em Poker allows its user to choose between almost 10 different well known western characters such as Jane, Doc and Annie. Moreover, the old western graphics look great and truly blend in with the game's theme.

This new game concept takes even further the entire Poker game and makes it feel fresh and innovative. Instead of waiting to draw the right hand of cards, the player can now make his own luck and use the shooting skills for picking the ones he needs for winning the game.

Each player receives a set of cards and has the option of discarding those he does not want. Replacement playing cards are then scrolled on the screen of the handset, face up. The player must then shoot the desired card within a time limit.

Shoot'em Poker uses a patented format of shooting at the desired cards to obtain the best hand. With this, it manages to combine Poker goals with those of old-fashioned shooters in a way which has not been tried before. It's challenging and addictive, as most games that aim at personal skills prove to be.

"The power of the computer and the popularity of cell phones have enabled us to enhance a classic game and distribute it to poker fans everywhere. Our goal is to continue to develop more original, quality titles for the mobile market", considers Dex Matheson, President of Best Direction. Moreover, with its innovative combination of two game concepts, "Shoot'em Poker brings the game of Poker into the twenty-first century", he further observed.

Shoot'em Poker will be distributed from now on in Verizon Wireless network. In the future, it is looking for a worldwide reach on BREW and JAVA enabled handsets.
