The developers at The Creative Assembly and publisher SEGA have announced that they have revealed the cover for the upcoming Total War: Shogun 2 – Fall of the Samurai standalone expansion, which is currently set to arrive exclusively on the PC during March 2012.
The cover reflects the overall concept of the content package, which will see players engage in a new campaign that sees the slow decline of the Samurai armies as the central authority of the Emperor tries to replace them with Western trained conscript armies.
The only thing that is missing from the cover is a shot of a United States cavalry officer that looks lightly like Tom Cruise.
The campaign takes place 400 years after the events of the original Shogun 2 and there are six new clans to control, with new units that use firearms one of the main additions.
Those interested in the multiplayer component also get new Avatars, more retinue and a new map of Japan.
