The evidence against Bill Cosby, the beloved actor and comedian, is beginning to pile up and it's not looking good for him. Apart from the more and more women who have stepped forward to claim that they have been drugged and raped or abused by Cosby over the years, today there was also some photographic evidence from ex-model Janice Dickinson that puts them together in the same room in that 1982 day.

Now, the National Enquirer deals another massive blow to the comedian's reputation and career, by making public a series of audio recording taken in 2005 when he did an interview for them, in which he makes some very odd statements, talking about how a person in a situation similar to his might be “crying out for somebody to stop them.”

The 2005 interview is one of the few times Cosby addressed the rape allegations

The interview was made in light of the Tamara Green rape allegations that came forward to say Bill drugged and groped her in the 1970s and it showed Cosby somewhat remorseful. He doesn't speak of himself but of “someone” else who is doing terrible things knowingly and who is, in fact, crying out for help in order to be stopped.

“You hear many times that someone has done something and they’re crying out for somebody to stop them from whatever it is they’re doing wrong,” Cosby says, somehow trying to hint at his own case.

But the next thing he says, he denies any involvement, “I’m not saying what I did was wrong. I’m saying that there are behavioral hints that the psychiatrists, that behavioral scientists will say ...” before being cut off by the end of the recording.

Cosby still seems to think that all of this is happenning to him because he's a celebrity

A second recording has him point out that the scandal is all about the fact that he is a famous man and that these allegations are “unfair.” “I guess that a celebrity trying to protect him or herself is not supposed to use every ounce of protection?” he asked rhetorically. He is referring to the fact that the media accused him of getting too many lawyers which made him look guilty.

This is the only time Cosby addressed the issue in an interview, despite the fact that since then many other women have confessed to being abused by him. The actor has since resorted to hiring even more lawyers and giving the press the silent treatment, which many view as incriminating him even more.

So far, Cosby hasn't been formally accused of anything, as he still enjoys the support of the public, who seems to think that all these women admitting to his lewd acts are in it for the fame. It remains to be seen if the media's efforts to expose as much evidence as possible will eventually lead to a police investigation.

Even then, the statute of limitations means that these accusations for events that occurred in the ‘70s and ‘80s won't hold out in court, no matter how hard the victims fight.
