A bunch of Polish geeks playing around with Apple Discussions URLs were able to discover new forums set up in anticipation of today’s “Back to the Mac” announcements. The forums are for iMovie 11, iPhoto 11, and GarageBand 11, as well as for the presumed new MacBook Air.

Engadget is reporting that Apple has leaked its own announcements hours ahead of the event, with eagle-eyed Polish folks altering URLs on the Apple Discussions website to reveal evidence that iLife 11 and a new MacBook Air are two of the announcements Apple plans to make today.

While some of the URLs lead to newly-set-up discussion forums relating to iMovie 11, iPhoto 11, and GarageBand 11 (all part of the iLife suite), others lead to an emerging "MBA (Need official name)" forum - MBA undoubtedly standing for MacBook Air - , as well as to a mysterious "Reserved 20 10" destination, according to Engadget.

Needless to point out, Apple has been widely expected to make these particular announcements at today’s Back to the Mac event in Cupertino, therefore these last-minute findings undoubtedly speak the truth about the company’s plans.

Earlier today, Softpedia reported that the same source was able to confirm that a person they knew had had a “working” 11-inch MacBook Air in their possession for a few minutes.

The site reported that their “trusted source” leaked the following information about Apple’s upcoming MacBook Air refresh:

- 11.6-inch display (almost three inches smaller than the current model)
- 2.13GHz Intel Core 2 Duo (with a possible 2.33GHz option)
- 2GB of memory as standard (base configuration)
- no optical drive
- Mini DisplayPort, USB, and SD card reader along the left, another USB port and power on the right
- updated trackpad to match that of the new MacBook Pros
- similar dimensions (in terms of thickness) to the current MacBook Air, despite the smaller 11.6-inch display
- the round aluminum power button is gone, while a black power key now sits immediately to the right of a smaller eject key on the MBA's keyboard

All will come to light in a few hours, so stick around.
