Dear me, I really wasn't expecting this. No, I'm not kidding you, and I must say, today is "fake" day for a lot of celebrities out there - OK, not A-list celebrities, but celebrities nevertheless. First, Kim K. claims she had her laptop AND her digital camera stolen (God only knows what was on them - so sex tape number two is probably being edited as we speak) and now another bombshell drops: the Hogan's highly mediated divorce might actually be a clever strategy to help with the pending civil suit filed against them by the father of the man Nick Hogan almost killed in a car crash three months ago.
My, aren't we clever today! I must give them props, though - if this is true, it's a very clever move and I suppose they're deeply indebted to whoever gives them legal advice. But if it's true, this also wins Hulk and Linda the "most irresponsible parents in the universe" golden medal for, like, the last hundred years or so for covering up for their son's a*s big time. Kimberley Kohn, the Tampa attorney who represents Ed Graziano, the father of injured passenger John Graziano (the 22 year-old that Nick Hogan's irresponsible behavior put in a vegetative state for the rest of his life) thinks that the alleged divorce between Terry and Linda Bollea could in fact be nothing but a strategic move in the civil suit that is about to be filed against them.

One thing that has only been mentioned yesterday is what the divorce petition filed by Linda Bollea seeks a split of the couple's assets (which include a Belleair mansion and a Clearwater Beach home), which add up to over $7.9 million. Not exactly spare change, if you know what I mean. One thing that may go against the theory that Hulk and his wife are faking their divorce is the fact that the couple has been on the rocks for a long period of time and this is definitely not the first time divorce is mentioned between them. Only this time, divorce could in fact make the Bolleas's assets a much more difficult target for anyone seeking damages.
After an inquest into the circumstances of the August accident was conducted, police say that Nick Bollea had not only consumed alcohol prior to the crash, but he was also speeding in his yellow Toyota Supra, racing the Bollea family's other car (a Dodge Viper, driven by another friend of Nick's) moments before crashing into a palm tree. The trick is, in the wake of Nick Bollea faces a felony charge of reckless driving with serious bodily injury, Graziano's family is set to file a lawsuit against him. But if the Supra and the Viper are not registered to both parents (which would happen if Hulk and Linda divorced), it could be harder to go after Mrs. Bollea individually, Kohn said, since mother's degree of control over who used the vehicles would have to be determined. This story is getting more and more interesting by the day - so stay tuned for more news!
