Shocker: Kate Moss, Back On DrugsWill it ruin her career this time around, too, or by now it's just another fact of life? |

Kate Moss never struck me as the understanding, cooperative type. In fact, she can be as much a stubborn bitch as she can commit herself to something and never let it go. And that's not necessarily a good thing (although it has been known to have positive outcomes once in a while). But now, it would seem that one of Kate's older demons has come back to haunt her - and with a vengeance. The supermodel allegedly stunned her friends when she repeatedly asked for drugs at a party she recently attended.
Moss was partying with Sienna Miller (actually, she must have really been on drugs if she managed to spend more than five minutes in the same room as Sienna), Naomi Campbell and Kelly Osbourne at best pal Davinia Taylor's 30th birthday bash last weekend when she allegedly asked DJ Elliot Eastwick for various drugs, including cocaine, cannabis and alkyl nitrate (an over-the-counter substance which is popular with clubbers and is commonly known as "poppers").
The DJ in question quickly went and sold...I mean, told his story to Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper. "It was obvious to me she was on drugs", he said. "She kept saying, 'Make me rave', and demanded I change the music. Then someone in Kate's group started rolling cannabis spliffs. Kate then pulled out some poppers from her handbag and started snorting them. You could see her loll as it took effect". Yes, well, I always thought Kate had a great bunch of friends - I should probably change that part in which I said she stunned them by asking for drugs and explain that they probably pretended to look stunned so that they couldn't be accused of enabling Kate's drug habit. But since I wasn't there...
"She grabbed my lower arm, pulled me towards her and yelled, 'Who's got the drugs?' I told her I didn't know and didn't have any but she said, 'I want some gear. You're a DJ, you must have some'. She was tapping on a record sleeve in the motion of someone racking up lines of coke. It was obvious what she was after. I remember thinking, 'God, Kate Moss just asked me for cocaine'. Then she and some mates disappeared into a back room and when she came back she was bouncier than ever. It was obvious she was on something".
Well, that's too bad for Kate - but what I'm really curious to see is whether anyone will care about it when (or if) the story hits, and whether Kate Moss being on drugs is already old news that no one - not even her fashion bosses - cares about anymore. In which case...oh, well, i'll just save my depressing conclusion for the time when my supposition proves to be hard fact. Which should be, like, next week.
