Shirley Temple Black Honored With The Lifetime Achievement Award

The famous actress will be honored by the Screen Actors Guild with its Lifetime Achievement Award.

The former curly child star will be honored with the lifetime achievement award from the Screen Actors Guild during the 12th annual SAG Awards on January 29, accorindg to an official statement issued by the union.

Shirley Temple Black, who is now 77, has also been U.S. ambassador to Ghana and the former Czechoslovakia.
She is the co-founder of the International Federation of Multiple Sclerosis Societies.

"She has lived the most remarkable life, as the brilliant performer the world came to know when she was just a child, to the dedicated public servant who has served her country both at home and abroad for 30 years," SAG president Melissa Gilbert said in a statement.
