Shipping Times Slip for 16GB iPad mini Black & Slate

Although the White & Silver iPad mini is definitely the most popular choice among the very first adopters, the Black & Slate model surely isn’t crying for attention either. Stock of the dark-colored 16GB model has also run out, leaving Apple struggling to fulfill orders in two weeks’ time.

A quick trip to the Apple online store will show delayed shipping times for both white and black versions of the iPad mini, particularly the 16GB models, which seem to be the most popular choice among consumers.

As the screen-grab above shows, Apple is now listing a two-week shipping time for the Black & Slate version, the same timeframe promised for the White & Silver iteration.

Shipping times for the cellular models are pushed even farther back – mid November. The same goes for the bigger fourth-generation iPad with Wi-Fi & Cellular.
