Atlus U.S.A. has announced that it has set a firm release date for Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey while also preparing to add some bonuses to each copy of the game sold.

The new role playing experience will be outed on March 23, 2010 and players who pick it up will also get a collectible box containing the game disk and a soundtrack CD, which features the music of Shoji Meguro, who is well known for his work on Persona 3 and 4. The songs he created for the new Shin Megami Tensei are a mix of electronic with Gregorian-like chants set to enhance the emotions of the player as they progress through the game.

Tim Pivnicny, the vice president of Sales and Marketing at Atlus, said that “We're excited to be able to launch the game's full website and reveal that all launch copies will feature a bonus soundtrack CD, even though the game will release slightly later than originally planned”. Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey is set to tell the story of an encounter between humanity and a world full of demons. A black spot appears over the Antarctic and begins to expand, threatening to engulf the whole world. Humanity decides to send four ships filled with the best soldiers and with the most cutting edge technology. The player will take on the role of a Strike Team soldier, wearing a Demonica environmental suit and fighting under Commander Gore.

As the ships enter the anomaly, now called the Schwarzwelt, they are faced with supernatural phenomena, tough conditions and it's up to the player to uncover the mystery of the demonic presences there and see what their intentions are towards humanity. Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey has been rated M for adult themes and for its violence.
