Aeria Games, a MMO publisher, is sending word that the beta stage for Shin Megami Tensei: Imagine Online is now open for gamers all over the world. The MMO is already pretty popular in Japan and even during the closed beta a lot of English speaking players were interested in the game, so the new open beta stage is designed to allow all those willing to take a look at what it has to offer and suggest improvements to the developers before the official release of the complete version.

In Shin Megami Tensei: Imagine Online, gamers will be able to fight alongside other players and various demons in a post apocalyptic Tokyo. The battle system is created in real time and players are encouraged to use demons in battle and fuse them while playing in order to create more powerful allies and design new breeds.

The character creation system is very deep and Aeria says that a wide variety of choices, some of them cosmetic, can be made as the game progresses. The MMO is also geared towards allowing players to create social networks through advanced community and search features.

Aeria Games has a history of only creating free to play titles and Shin Megami Tensei: Imagine Online is no exception to this rule. The game itself can be played by anyone without paying a subscription fee and the customer support and the game service elements are funded by Aeria by implementing a micro transaction model allowing players to pay to get their hands on unique items and various cosmetic enhancements for their characters.

In order to get into the beta stage of Shin Megami Tensei: Imagine Online, players need to visit the official website and sign up. Aeria has not revealed how many people could enter the open beta so, if you are interested, get online now.
