Some of you might still remember the whole “#IAMSORRY” performance art stunt that Shia pulled at the beginning of the year, after he was caught plagiarizing his directorial debut, but that's just one side of the actor's weird character. Shia also has a violent streak that landed him in jail last week and now he's seeking help.

X17 Online claims that Shia has checked himself into rehab, following his last week’s run of erratic behavior that saw him kicked out of a Broadway musical, arrested and charged with criminal trespass, harassment and disorderly conduct and almost getting into a fight with a man outside a New York strip club.

The paparazzi site has photographed the Transformers actor driving up to a rehabilitation center where celebrities are known to be seeking help with various issues, and the conclusion was that Shia is seeking professional help for his issues.

While some think that this is a good move on behalf of LaBeouf who has been acting strangely for some time now, others simply dismiss this as a ploy to get the judge to go easy on him. Since he's supposed to appear before a judge to explain his strange activity, it's going to bode well for him that he actively sought to get professional help for his volcanic temper.

Either way, Shia is definitely in need of some assistance, since he clearly has an anger management issue. The fight he tried to pick in New York last week is not his first one by far. In February, he was filmed head-butting a man in a London pub, and of course, we all remember the incident where he got beat up by a man outside a bar in Canada.

Since the plagiarizing scandal broke out, his career has also taken a dive and his performance art campaign didn't help him recover any part of the credibility he lost.

After celebrities queued up to take shots at him, blasting Shia all over social media and in interviews because he failed to acknowledge his directorial debut was actually heavily inspired by a graphic novel created by Daniel Clowes, he set up a show in which people could watch him cry with a paper bag over his head, while saying he was sorry.

The actor seems to be taking his rehab seriously so far, since he was photographed carrying the Alcoholics Anonymous Big blue Book. One photographer is quoted as saying that “Shia was nervous; he didn't look good all morning. He was looking down and wasn't even talking to his driver. It looked like he didn't want to do it, but he knew he had to.”
