14 DAY TRIAL // For a little over a month, there’s been a lot of speculation on whether Shia LaBeouf and his co-star Mia Goth were more than just friends, and a new batch of paparazzi shots should put all that to rest: they’re dating.
The actor was photographed with Mia on a date in Los Angeles the other day, as the photo attached to this article can confirm.
Rumors about a possible romance started before Thanksgiving, when Shia and Mia started working on a new Lars von Trier film, in which they play love interests.
Since on-set romances are not new in Hollywood – quite on the contrary, actually – and considering that he had just ended his 2-year relationship with designer Karolyn Pho, many rushed to link him and Mia romantically despite the age gap (she’s 19 and he is 26).
Some even went as far as to say that the new romance might have actually started when he was still with Karolyn, which would explain why they went public after the breakup.
Radar Online says that they started dating right after he split from Karolyn because the relationship was too “volatile.”
According to unnamed insiders from the set of the movie, which tackles a very controversial issue and is packed with love scenes, the chemistry between Shia and Mia was there from the get-go for whoever had eyes and wanted to see.
“They've kept their relationship under wraps, but they pretty much started dating after he broke off things with Karolyn a few months ago,” a tipster said last month.
“He got to know Mia on set and quickly became enamored of her. They have similar interests, they love alternative music, thrift stores and she is edgy and funny, which Shia loves,” the source added.
It’s not just a fling either, the insider insists: they’re not rushing into anything but he’s already met her parents in London – and they love him.
“They’re already spending a lot of time together, not just with work, but also have been hitting the town. Mia has made Shia very happy and he’s certainly found a party buddy for the time being,” the insider dishes.
