He’s talented, he’s young and he’s starred in quite a few blockbusters in recent years. Shia LaBeouf gives movie studios the biggest bang for each dollar they spend on him, Forbes reveals.

Forbes has just issued one of its by-now customary lists, this time comprising the actors and actors who represent the best investment for movie studios as regards the paycheck – box office grossing / sales ratio.

Surprisingly, neither Angelina Jolie nor Brad Pitt is featured on the list, moviegoers note on dedicate forums; Leonardo DiCaprio is also notably absent, as also are all members of the “Twilight” cast.

That can be explained by the fact that, no matter how well their movies sell, the paychecks they get for them automatically disqualifies them, which is not the case with the 10 stars who did make the cut, AceShowbiz says.

Shia LaBeouf, for instance, returns money invested in him by 81 times – that is to say, for every dollar the movie studio pays him, it gets $81 in return.

Second spot goes to Anne Hathaway, who comes to replace British actor James McAvoy, with a $1-$64 ratio. This means she’s the second most profitable thespian at the moment.

“Shia was named the star who brought in the most profits for his movies such as Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen ($836 million worldwide box office) and Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull ($787 million),” AceShowbiz writes.

“Meanwhile, Anne became the second most profitable star due to her hit films such as Alice in Wonderland ($1 billion at the global box office) and Bride Wars ($115 million at the global box office),” the e-zine goes on to say.

“The third place was seated on by Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe because every $1 the studios spent on him, his films returned around $61 in profit,” AceShowbiz informs.

“Robert Downey Jr. secured the fourth spot of the list with a $33 return for every $1 he was paid. His Sherlock Holmes brought in $517 million last Christmas, while his Iron Man 2 has earned $622 million at the global box office,” says the e-zine.

Fifth place goes to Cate Blanchett with a $27 return. The rest of the list looks as follows: Jennifer Aniston (tie, $21), Meryl Streep (tie, $21), Johnny Depp ($18), Nicolas Cage (tie, $17) and Sarah Jessica Parker (tie, $17).
