In an interview for the August issue of 'Vanity Fair' and on the show 'Good Morning America', the 44-year-old rocker finally talked about her painful split of former boyfriend and short time fiancé, seven times Tour de France cyclist champion, Lance Armstrong, and about her awful experience and battle with breast cancer.
Sheryl started off by admitting that not one single day passes by without her thinking about the man with whom she shared more than two years of her life or about his three beautiful children. She also stated that she still loves Lance and probably always will. Yet, the break up, announced on the singer's website in February, remains definite and Crow refused to give any details as to what might have caused it.
But she did take a stand and infirmed rumors that the famous champion left her because of the breast cancer she was diagnosed with only a few weeks later. Even more, it was Lance who offered to come back to help her through such a difficult moment, but she refused and sought comfort in her family instead.
Armstrong himself had a very similar experience in 1996, when he had testicular cancer and had to undergo surgery.
The singer still feels 'bruised and very vulnerable' after the past experiences, but isn't even considering getting back together with Lance, as she is very positive that it wasn't the kind of relationship that would have led them down the aisle. Crow and Armstrong were engaged to be married only for a short period of five months.
