Until I saw these photos, taken at a benefit held at the Playboy Mansion on Monday, I didn't know who Adrienne Curry was. I admit it: until the moment I laid my eyes on her, I had been living in lie and oblivious to the fact that there is such a thing as perfect beauty in this world. And its name is Adrienne. And its way of manifesting itself is through impeccable fashion taste.
Usually, all ceremonies (be them fancy balls or simply parties) held at the Mansion do not require a dress code. Actually, everybody puts on their Sunday best and tries to pull off the look that you and I both know only Playboy chicks can pull. In all fairness, you can't be sultry and sexy and naughty like them when you're wearing a Gucci corset gown, no matter how hard you squeeze your breasts or hold your breath not to attract attention to that little hint of a belly you think you have. However, you still have to play the game and dress nicely and smile for the cameras.
But all that is about to end pretty soon because there's a new role model in town and she just changed fashion history for good! You see, why go out and spent thousands of dollars on a dress that not only is not that pretty to start with, but it also fails to accentuate your best assets? Why go through the painstaking experience of always keeping an eye on your cleavage (what if a boob pops out?), or on your skirt (what if it rides up your legs and reveals other parts of your body you don't want people to see?), or of paying attention you don't trip on your long trail? Why be too hot in your outfit? Why, indeed, when you can avoid all of the above AND get all the attention you could ever want with so little?

Enter Adrienne, my new personal idol and the love of my life! She was, in case some of you forgot, the first girl to win 'American's Next Top Model' who later moved to 'Maxim', 'FHM' and 'Playboy' and her own reality show. Really, I don't know where she has been hiding for the past year of my life but, now that I came to know her, I realize I missed someone so inspiring and original. Ladies, you should all take a lesson or two from this genius of fashion.
You see, a fancy benefit should not be a headache for a girl. So, instead of spending the week before it shopping and throwing money out the window, you can just buy yourself a nice bikini, a matching top and then matching shoes and you're all set. Oh, and just in case it gets a bit nippy (pun intended, yes), you can also throw on one of those see-through sweaters, also in matching colors. It's so brilliant that it makes me wonder how come no one else ever thought of it!
So, to conclude: enjoy the pics with Adrienne. Too bad other girls weren't as inspired as she was! Let's just hope she managed to set a precedent.
