Owners of handsets running under Microsoft's Windows Phone 7 operating system have now another application available for purchase and download on their devices, Shazam Encore.

Featuring a price tag of $5.99/£4.99, the new premium application is available as the paid version of the already released Shazam application.

Unlike the free flavor, the new software removes all of the limitations in place for mobile users, such as music tagging limit and others, and provides a seamless experience for all those interested in music discovery.

“With Encore you can enjoy exclusive features including unlimited tagging and Recommendations, as well as all Shazam’s features – identify a track, buy it, check out the videos, get the lyrics – and more. It’s the slicker, faster way to discover more about music,” the application's description reads.

Of course, some of these features were packed with the free flavor as well. However, Shazam Encoure, offers unlimited tagging, lyrics, videos and more.

The list of new options that arrive on Windows Phone devices through Shazam Encore would include:

- Unlimited tagging, so don’t miss a music moment – tag as often as you like
- Identify what song is playing and buy the track direct on Zune Marketplace
- Get Music Recommendations to discover similar music
- View lyrics and sing along to tagged tracks
- Read album reviews, artist biographies and discographies
- Watch YouTube videos for tagged artists from within the App

One thing that should be noted here is that the lyrics feature would be available only for users in the US, Canada, the UK, France, Italy, Germany, Spain, Australia and New Zealand.

At $5.99, the application might appear a little too expensive for some. In the Windows Phone Marketplace, the application does not sport a free trial, due to the fact that users can always download and install the free version.

Those interested in the premium app should head over to the Marketplace here (via WMPoweruser).
