Shayne Lamas, daughter of the actor Lorenzo Lamas and a television star herself, is looking different these days. She’s gone under the knife for some improvements but she, unlike Heidi Montag, knew where to stop.

Shayne, who’s had an obvious breast augmentation and reportedly some work done on her nose and lips as well, reveals in a recent issue of InTouch, as cited by the Orange County Register, that she too was a patient of the late Dr. Frank Ryan.

If the name doesn’t ring a bell, his “work” may, because he’s the same man who performed no less than 20 different procedures on Heidi Montag on the same day and despite the fact that she was only in her early 20s.

Ryan received lots of criticism for what he’d done but, Shayne says, he was still popular with celebrities when he passed away in August this year, in a car accident.

In fact, he was so popular, he seemingly no longer knew which was the line he should never cross, even suggesting to Lamas she undertake the same series of interventions as Heidi before her.

In other words, Shayne went in for implants and was suddenly being told she needed more work done. Luckily, she says, she resisted temptation.

“Dr. Ryan was a family friend of ours,” Shayne says. As such, she went to him believing he’d only do what’s right for her, little expecting to be told she needed a complete makeover.

“I went to see him because I wanted a [breast] job, but he ended up telling me that I needed about $70,000 worth of work – thigh lipo, a butt lift, basically a whole body makeover – to turn me into the perfect Barbie doll. But I didn’t want to be a Barbie doll,” the reality star explains.

A week after making an appointment for the enlargement, Shayne saw pictures and Heidi’s story in the media – and was shocked by them.

“It was absurd and I felt sick. She’s my age, and it was the same breakdown of what he wanted me to do. I was disturbed by it,” she says.

Heidi’s example convinced Shayne that she didn’t want to go to the same lengths as her, so she turned down Dr. Ryan’s offer.

“She [Heidi] probably wanted more and more, and it was publicity for both her and him. But I think it was very irresponsible of him to do that. I’m reluctant to say that now that he’s resting in peace, but that’s how I feel,” Lamas adds.
