Pixelation Games has announced their upcoming top-down tactical role-playing game Shattered Time.

The game is built with the classic Infinity Engine games perspective in mind, but featuring a modern framework and a full 3D camera.

Shattered Time aims to present a modern take on the '90s dialogue-driven strategic games, throwing in fantasy, steampunk and cyberpunk elements.

The game's plot tells of a mysterious Rift that has torn the fabric of space and time, echoing from an event set in the distant future, and players will begin their journey in one of the three separate timelines and unravel the circumstances leading to the mass extinction event.

Shattered Time's Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign is underway, and the game is planned for PC, Mac and Linux, and is built on the Unity engine.
