Proving that, no matter how poor the economy might be, there are still plenty of people out there ready and willing to cough up some serious cash for the latest HDTV models, Sharp has started shipping its new LE830 Series AQUOS Quattron LED LCD TV models, available in various sizes and offering advanced display features.

The new Quattron LED TV series was introduced by Sharp back at CES 2011 and, as some of you might remember, includes four different models, providing 60-, 52-, 46- and 40-inch screen sizes, respectively.

All of the company's new high-end TV sets come packed with edge-lit LED X-Gen LCD panels and Quattron Quad Pixel Technology, meant to deliver an enhanced level of image quality, superior (according to Sharp) to what we might expect from some of the other competing models available on the market.

Moreover, the new LED TVs also pack built-in WiFi networking, which enables them to enjoy fast and easy access to Netflix, VUDU and CinemaNow, while in the same time sporting four HDMI inputs, that should be quite enough in order to enable the fast and easy connection to a wide array of HD signal sources, such as gaming consoles, Blu-ray players, computers, etc.

As expected, beside delivering very good quality images, the new TV sets from Sharp are also quite attractive, visually, sporting an attractive slim and narrow bezel design, that is likely to take only a small amount of space wherever users might decide to place it around the house.

Last, but not least, we'll also have to point out that the new Quattron LED TVs offer a very low power consumption level and are ENERGY STAR 5.1 qualified.

As mentioned right from the start, the new LCD TVs from Sharp are not exactly very affordable, the LC-60LE830U selling for $2,799.99, the LC-52LE830U for $1,899.99, while the LC-46LE830U and LC-40LE830U for $1,499.99 and $1,299.99, respectively.
