When people say that they want a larger variety of colors to choose from when considering the purchase of a mobile phone, they generally mean three, four or maybe five colors.

Now, the people in Japan who are extremely pretentious when it comes to what color a mobile phone comes in will have a wider variety to choose from than ever before.

Japanese operator Softbank has released the Sharp 812SH which is also known as the Pantone 812SH simply because it was developed in partnership with Pantone, the company known for its color matching systems.

The 812SH comes in so many colors that some people will have a pretty hard time deciding on only one.

No less than twenty different versions of the phone are available. From one point of view, this is a pretty good decision because this way, the manufacturer will avoid having to release other color versions of the phone later, if the public is bored and wants some variety.

Aside from a very colorful face, the 812SH also offers a 2 megapixel camera with video recording capabilities, 2.4 inch 260k color LCD main screen and a 0.8 inch OLED external screen.

The phone comes with 3G support and the FeliCA wireless payment system with face recognition security. A MicroSD card slot is also provided in order for the user to have more space to store files on. Sharp 812SH measures 49 x 97 x 17.6 mm and will be available starting February.

So, if you have a favorite color and want to be able to choose what color your mobile phone will be, there's a pretty big chance that the 812SH is exactly what you need. Too bad it's only available in Japan.
