The handset sports a 5-inch full HD touchscreen display

A new Android-based handset with a full HD screen on the front is now official in Asia, namely the Sharp Aquos Phone SH930W, which has been launched in Taiwan.

The new device packs a 5-inch touchscreen display capable of delivering a 1080p resolution, while also packing a dual-core 1.5GHz Snapdragon S4 MSM8960A processor.

The mobile phone also arrives on shelves with 2GB of RAM packed inside, as well as with 32GB of internal memory, and with Google’s Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system loaded on it.

The new device is expected to arrive on shelves in Taiwan in mid-December, featuring a price tag of NT$15,900 ($547 / €422) attached to it.

The handset was also announced for countries such as Russia and Hong Kong, and might arrive in more Asian markets soon.
