Today, Sharp has announced a new smartphone, namely the Aquos mini SHL24, which comes to the market with a 4.5-inch full HD (1080p) touchscreen display that can deliver a 487ppi pixel density.

The mobile phone is the latest in the company’s series of products featuring IGZO displays and comes with an EDGEST design, which means that it sports a minimized bezel. Thus, the handset sports a 2.48inch (63mm) width, while weighing 4oz (115 grams).

Even so, the new mobile phone still packs some appealing hardware inside, such as a 2.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800, 2 GB of RAM, and 16 GB of internal memory, as PhoneArena notes.

Moreover, the smartphone comes with a 13-megapixel camera on the back, with f/1.9 aperture, as well as with a front camera for making video calls.

The new Sharp Aquos mini SHL24 will arrive on shelves at Japanese wireless carrier KDDI in March, and will be available in four color versions, namely pink, blue, yellow green, and white.
