Sharon Stone and Melissa Etheridge have topped the annual list of homosexual icons published by the famous Out magazine.
The Basic Instinct 2 star is to be named 2005's Straight Ally, while cancer survivor Etheridge will receive the Entertainer Of The Year award.
Meanwhile, the actor-turned-California Governor
Arnold Schwarzenegger enters a new list - as a member of the magazine's Hall Of Shame, for his attitude against gay marriage.
Sharon Stone has proved again her determination, as she has settled a lawsuit she had brought against a cosmetic surgeon.
The actress had sued Dr. Renato Calabria for defamation and libel in December last year, charging he had falsely claimed to have given her a face-lift. The suit was settled, but the terms of the agreement were not disclosed. The doctor has agreed, however, to perform a number of
free reconstructive surgeries for a charity of Stone's choice.

The two-time Grammy winner Melissa Etheridge has added another title: breast cancer survivor. The famous singer has defeated the disease and worked on a new album.
"My world stopped, which it had never done. I've worked since I was 11 years old, playing music and following the dream, and shaking and moving and doing it. And then, you have cancer and it was like 'Ooooohh.' It was like a big eraser. It was the only thing in my life that had ever made me just stop", the singer told The Early Show co-anchor Rene Syler.
Etheridge underwent surgery and chemotherapy.
"I'm very fortunate that I have a wonderful family around me and loved ones. I'm also fortunate because, financially, I could make myself comfortable at that time. I know there are millions of women who can't and I would lay there thinking of the women who would have to go to work on chemotherapy, and it just blows my mind.
Of course I thought about myself, poor me, poor me. But I also thought about the millions who were going through this", the singer added.
Melissa Etheridge has just released a new album, "Greatest Hits: The Road Less Traveled", and she has helped designing a lapel pin for breast cancer awareness.
