14 DAY TRIAL // Actress Sharon Stone has been experiencing severe health problems since early April, resulting in an emergency trip to the hospital in Brazil. Various media outlets report that she might have had a stroke and that friends are very worried about her because she’s not taking proper care of herself.
The news of Stone’s stroke comes via Radar Online from the latest print issue of The National Enquirer. This one, in turn, is citing two local outlets, RCN La Radio and The Latin Times, so there is a very good chance that something either got lost or was added in translation.
Since Stone’ rep was not available for comment at the time of writing, this is best taken with a grain of salt.
However, assuming that the rumors are accurate, Sharon really needs to slow down and take better care of herself because she’s said to be in really bad shape. Problems started to become worse around April 4, when she was attending an amFAR function in Sao Paolo.
Shortly afterwards, she was supposedly rushed to the hospital. Friends believe she should put herself first for once and leave everything else for another time, including her charity work and business endeavors, which are time- and energy-consuming and she doesn’t even realize it.
“Sharon is like the energizer bunny and continues to do her worldwide charity work while making one film after another. But she seems to be playing Russian roulette with her health,” an insider tells the Enquirer.
The star has already stopped working out as strenuously as she used to but it’s still not enough, the report continues: she’s still traveling the globe and putting in the extra time with charity, and it’s all taking a toll on her already slightly frail health.
“It may be killing her, and she has nearly died in the past from similar issues,” the tipster continues.
Another insider believes that Sharon’s visit to the ER could be related to an incident of 13 years ago which has made her over-precautious so that, every time she has a lasting headache, she goes to the hospital on her own to make sure she doesn’t have “another brain hemorrhage.”
“Maybe this latest hospitalization will serve as a wake-up call that she needs to stop trying to do it all, and take it easy for a while,” adds the second source.
