Stop dressing North in fur, because it’s “sick”

Kim Kardashian tells interviewers that she’s very keen on keeping the media out of daughter North West’s life, but at the same time, she has no qualms about dressing her up in outfits matching her own and parading her around town as if she were a doll, or as Sharon Osbourne puts it, just another trendy accessory.

Following a public appearance during which North / Nori was wearing a $3,500 (€3,150) fur coat, and a stern warning from PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals), Kim is now also getting a talking to from Sharon.

Nori isn’t an accessory, shouldn’t wear fur

This obsession of Kim’s, of dressing her daughter up in matching clothes and of making her appear fashionable, when she’s not even 2 years old yet and must be uncomfortable in the outfits her mom picks for her, has gone far enough.

It’s ridiculous to put a toddler in leather leggings or all-black leather outfits or fur coats, and act as if she’s a grown-up person who makes stylish choices.

Kim is treating her daughter as if she’s a living doll at best, and a fashion accessory at worst, Sharon says. It’s stupid.

“[North] shouldn't be wearing ugly couture clothes,” Mrs. Osbourne tells Closer magazine. “[Fur] makes me physically sick, and wearing it is a very dated way of showing everyone how rich you are. Our grandparents did it, but now we've been educated, it's cruel to keep the trade going.”

This isn’t the first time that Kim is criticized for wearing fur, and it will probably not be the last when she’s urged publicly to stop putting it on Nori as well.

Sharon is no Kardashian fan

Sharon Osbourne is not and has never been the kind to mince her words, so no wonder she lays into the Kardashians this way in the interview.

She continues by shooting down comparisons between her family and the Kardashian clan, saying that they, the Osbournes, are famous because Ozzy is a rock legend, whereas the Kardashians are only famous for their “looks.”

That’s not entirely accurate, because Kim is famous for something else too, but we won’t get into specifics now.

Sharon makes sure to say that she personally has no grudge against them, but she doesn’t agree with certain things they do, like Kim’s obsession of turning Nori into a toddler fashionista. “I respect and like them, but their morals are different to ours,” she stresses.
