Sharon Osbourne has broken her silence on the state of her marriage to Ozzy Osbourne and particularly about how it’s influenced by his relapse into alcohol and drugs. Video of her brief statement is below.

For the past several days, since speculation that the two were on the verge of divorce started making the rounds, Sharon has kept mum on the topic.

Back to work on CBS’s The Talk, she chose to address the elephant in the room like she always does, while probably hoping that this would stop other, more ridiculous rumors from emerging and spreading in the media.

She says that, with everything that’s being reported in the press, there’s always a seed of truth. The same applies to her and Ozzy’s case – and she identifies it as the apology the rocker posted on his Facebook, in which he comes clean about having relapsed.

“I never knew he was using prescription drugs,” Sharon says.

“I knew he was drinking occasionally, but didn't realize to the extent,” she adds.

Even so, she and Ozzy are not getting a divorce, Sharon insists. They’ve been through much worse before and they will work things out now too.

That isn’t to say that she’s happy, though.

“I am devastated right now. [Addiction is] a disease that not only hurts the person who has the disease, but it hurts the family. It hurts people who love you,” Sharon explains.

However, she chooses to be optimistic about the whole thing.

“This too shall pass. Otherwise my husband will be taken to hospital to get my foot removed from his [backside],” she concludes, in her typical style.

As we also reported on previous occasions, word online is that Sharon and Ozzy have been living separate lives for quite some time now and that she moved out because she’d grown tired of dealing with his problems.
