Sharkoon, a company well known for its storage enclosures and computer peripherals, has just announced the introduction of two new micro-ATX chassis, the MS120 and MS140, which can support graphics cards measuring up to 36cm (14.2-inches) in length. In order to achieve this feat, Sharkoon had to resort to a design trick, and swapped the standard drive cages we are all accustomed to see with a so called "assembly panel."

This is basically a series of two vertical mounted drive bays that support both 2.5-inch or 3.5-inch drives and either one of these two assembly panels can be removed to make room for long graphics cards.

Starting with the MS140, the case can house one 5.25-inch and one 3.5-inch external drives as well as six 2.5-inch or four 3.25-inch HDDs in its internal bays featuring tool-less installation, which makes adding and removing storage units a breeze.

In addition, the 3.25-inch drive cage is also actively cooled by a blue LED 140mm front fan and the system can also be fitted with two smaller 92mm fans and 120mm thanks to a series of mounting holes available in the back and the top of the case.

Moving inside the case, we find ample room for installing most mainstream computer parts, the PSU going in the top of the chassis.

As far as the MS120 is concerned, this can accommodate the same number of drives as its bigger bother but comes fitted with two blue LED 120mm fans that sit in the front of the unit. An additional 120mm fan can be placed in the back for expelling the hot air out.

Both the MS120 and MS140 feature a front panel USB 3.0 port, dual USB 2.0 ports, as well as line-in and phone-out jacks.

Both of these compact cases use a similar paintjob, and the Sharkoon MS120 has been priced at 35€ (about $47 US) while the larger MS140 is available for 30€ ($40 US). (via ComputerBase)
