Sharkoon just announced the launch of its latest central processing unit active cooling solution, the Silent Eagle cooler that comes as a continuation of its previous line of products released under the same name, preserving their superb cooling performance which is obtained thanks to the Direct Touch technology.

This new cooling solution is actually made up of two rather distinct products, as the Sharkoon Silent Eagle 2000 fan is also available as a standalone offering that is distinguished by the rather unique golf ball design applied to its blades. The many small and round dimples that are imprinted on the blade surface lead to less wind turbulence while increasing the volume of air displaced without raising its rotational speed.

The cooling fan is variable rotational speed enabled and it can be controlled by the mainboard thanks to the pulse width modulation system that can adjust its speed between 900 and 2000rpm, while keeping the operational noise between 16.4 to 25.2 dB and the volume of displaced air in the range of 20.91 to 64.29 m3/h. As this fan comes with a frameless design it is generally operating at low noise levels.

The new Sharkoon Silent Eagle CPU cooling system is built for use with computer systems powered by Intel and AMD processors that use the 775 and 939 sockets. Three vertically mounted copper heat pipes are making the connection between the base plate and the radiator area. For an optimal heat transfer the U-shaped heat pipes are directly making contact with the processing unit, while the radiator part of the cooling system is made up of a large number of fins that ensure a large heat dissipation area. In order to fit into most computer cases the cooling system comes with rather small dimensions of 77 x 130 x 100 mm and included with it there are mounting pins and a backplate for Intel systems while the AMD users will find the retaining clip most useful. For an easy installation job a wrench is also provided as well as a high quality heat paste. This new Sharkoon CPU cooler comes at a suggested retail price of 20 Euro and it is available right now.
