Sharkoon has just launched a new version of its well-known QuickPort HDD external docking station and this one comes with FireWire also. The new 3-in-1 HDD dock from Sharkoon has no less than three FireWire connectors for most Apple users out there.
One of the FireWire ports is a 1394a connection compatible with FireWire 400 devices, while the other two are 1394b capable for
FireWire 800.
Officially called Sharkoon SATA QuickPort U3 FireWire, the new dock also comes fitted with a very fast
USB 3.0 connector and a fast and useful eSATA port.
The device ships with all the necessary cables in the box and also has a DC adapter for larger, more power-demanding drives.
The pricing is slated at €65, which is about $81 for the American buyers.
